Intel India Embedded Challenge (IIEC) 2010
IIEC 2010 was put forward to inspire the vast technically savvy community in India to architect, design and develop novel embedded applications. It was a huge success with thousands of registrations across the country. The enthusiastic response saw active participations from students and professionals alike, coming up with ground-breaking innovations that could pioneer a new wave of embedded technology implementations in the near future.
Eligibility
The contest is open to Residents of India.
Participants consisting of 1-2 individuals can take part in the contest.

Launch - Opens for Registration October 08 , 2010
Phase 1 : Deadline for submission of abstract January 10 , 2011
Results of Phase 1 January 30 , 2011
Phase 2 : Deadline for submission of final abstracts by shortlisted teams February 28 , 2011
Results of Phase 2 - Selected teams will be shortlisted for the finals March 20 , 2011
Finalists to receive the application reference designs kits April 1st week, 2011
Finals ? Face to Face, Presentations to Jury & Award Ceremony August 2011

Phases of the Contest
The Intel India Embedded Challenge 2011 is divided into the following Phases:
Phase 1
Online registration on site
Online submission of final abstracts
Evaluation of the final abstracts and short listing for Phase 2
Phase 2
Shortlisted teams from phase 1 will submit full proposals
Shortlisted teams to get atom kit for developing a prototype of their work
Submission of the prototype
Final Evaluation and Award ceremony
Prizes & Awards
1. Intel Innovation Grand Prize: Rs.10,00,000/-* (to be given as seed funding), one prize from any of the 7 categories
2. Rs.50,000/- Cash prize for best innovation in each of the 7 categories
3. Gold medals from Intel for all finalists
4. Direct entry for all winners to participate in The Next Big Idea - a Technology Entrepreneurship contest jointly conducted by Intel, Department of Science and Technology and Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore
