ICON-2009 and AICL31 (the 31st All-India Conference of Linguists of the Linguistic Society of India) will be "held in parallel at the same venue" with the facility of registrants of one conference being allowed to freely attend the proceedings of the other.

The Linguistic Society of India (LSI) will hold the 31st All-India Conference of Linguists (AICL-2009)
at the University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad, India during 15-17 December, 2009 with the
University of Hyderabad, the Central Institute of Indian Languages, and the
International Institute of Information Technology as the co-sponsors.
‘Advancement of the scientific study of language’ being the primary object of LSI,
AICLs are held annually for promoting dialogue and interaction among researchers
in the field from India and abroad.
NOTE:
AICL31 and ICON-2009 (the 7th International Conference of Natural Language Processing of the
Natural Language Processing Association of India) will be held in parallel at the same venue
with the facility of registrants at one conference being allowed to freely attend the proceedings
of the other.
