The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) is one of the seven Indian Institutes of Management Post-Graduate Program in Management (PGP) The Post-graduate Program in Management is the Institute's flagship educational program preparing young graduates for senior-level positions in industry. This 2-year program lays great emphasis on knowledge assimilation, as opposed to simply imparting it. Towards this it uses a wide variety of pedagogies: lectures, case studies, exercises, role-plays, simulation, video shows and more. The evaluation system is rigorous, comprising quizzes, assignments, mid-term and end-term examinations. The program also stresses "learning to learn" through requirements of library-based self-study, group work, open-ended discussions and real-life projects.The cluttered program leaves little time for students to ponder on any subject in detail. The students inculcate the spirit of 'Dream-Innovate-Achieve' and imbibe social concern as an integral part of the learning process. The institute distinguishes itself from other IIMs in offering greater freedom to students in their intellectual pursuits.
