research scholar of your esteemed institution to participate in the National Level Seminar on “EMERGING
TRENDS IN COMPUTING TECHNOLOGIES” to be held on 29.02.2012(Wednesday) in our college.
About The College
Madurai Sivakasi Nadars Pioneer Meenakshi Women’s College, affiliated to Alagappa University, and
is situated at Poovanthi which is 20 kms away from Madurai. On Madurai-Sivagangai Road in Sivagangai
District, spreading over 15 acres. The college was started in 1999 by Madurai Sivakasi Nadars Uravinmurai
with the encouragement of the generous donation received from philanthrophic members of the Uravinmurai.
The Uravinmurai chalked out a programme for the dawn of higher education and upliftment of rural women in
and around poovanthi. The college was initially housed at A.R.A.S. kalyana mandapam, 108, G.S.T road,
Thiruparankundram and was inaugurated by Dr.Salihu former Vice-Chancellor, Madurai Kamaraj University on
6th September 1999. Even though it is started by Madurai Sivakasi Nadars Uravinmurai the Institution caters to
the needs of all the members of public without any distinction of caste, creed or religion.
About the Department
The Department with its cohesive team of faculty members offers a sound program at the UG as well as
PG levels.
Envisions preparing the students to participate and benefit from the revolution in the area of Computer
Science is already underway. We epitomize the cutting edge technology prevailing in the field of information
technology and we envisions to impact high quality skills in software development to excel in software
industry.
Objectives of the Seminar
The main objective of this seminar is to bring together the eminent research scholars from University
and College PG and UG final year students to provide a common platform for sharing the innovative ideas. The
seminar is expected to give the participants an exposure in the field of Emerging Trends in Computing
Technologies.
