LIC Assistants Stenos Typists Exam syllabus

PAPER I - OBJECTIVE

Maximum Marks=150

Time Allowed=2 HRS

Reasoning Ability

Numerical Ability

General Knowledge

English

Hindi (For A and B States Only)

PAPER II-DESCRIPTIVE

Maximum Marks=50

Time Allowed=1 HRS

English or Hindi

Official Language of the Scale, (e.g., Punjabi in Pubjab) except in States where Hindi is the official language

The candidate is required to pass in each of the Tests separately.

(i) The candidate is required to pass in each of the Tests separately.

(ii) The merit order of the candidates will be decided by the aggregate score in Paper I.

(iii) Candidates, who pass in each test separately and rank sufficiently high in the merit list, would be called for personal interview/trade test (wherever applicable).

(iv) Final Selection will be on the basis of the overall performance in the written test, Trade Test (where applicable) and the interview.

Syllabus

(i) Test of Reasoning: The questions will be designed to test the candidate's power of reasoning and his ability to draw inferences.

(ii) Numerical Ability: This test is designed to test how fast and accurate you are in dealing with numbers, uiz., computation.

(iii)General Knowledge: Candidates will be expected to posses a broad knowledge of current events and matters of general interest, particularly relating to L.I.C.

(iv) English/Hindi Language: This is a test to see how well you know English/Hindi. There will be special emphasis on grammar and vocabulary.

(v) Descriptive Test: It will be a test of short Essay, Letter Writing and Precis Writing.
